BLOG: Wild Smoothie

I haven’t been out like chilling for long time. Winter, training and work commitments, baby boom soon and more training. This am I put on my shoes with no socks, jogged for 15minutes, took off my shoes, hiked for 15minutes and in the meantime I collected some herbs.

Smoothie recipe:

  • 1 giant ripe banana
  • 5 dates
  • 5 ice cubes
  • 1 scoop of flex seeds
  • 1 heaped spoon of spirulina
  • Thumb of Ginger
    • Handful of chickweeds
    • 10 small leaves of narrow leaf plantain
    • 2 big leaves of mallow
    • 2 x 20cm of cleavers with stem and leaves
  • 1 spoon of cinnamon (harvested by father in law in Guadeloupe)
  • 3dl of almond milk

These herbs can be found anywhere. They are nearly unmistakeable if you knew them a little. I am lucky to be in The South of France so all year around I can collect and use fresh wild herbs.
